'Mandelas Long Walk to Freedom`
In this speech, Mandela explains that he sees the change occurring before his eyes. He talks about how now all man in africa are allowed to vote, and that the first opportunity for this to happen occurred, he witnessed men line up for miles just to vote because they say they "feel like a human being" for the first time. He tells about what a sight it is to see the natives of Africa lining up as if they were excited, and glad that the battle was now over. He explains the passion that is displayed in the air by the natives as they get to voice their opinion in government for the first time in history. He personifies the nation coming together as a whole, as a family. No one greater or lesser than the other. Mandela displayed an extraordinary act of courage that not one other native dared to do. Mandela chose, out of all the voting polls in africa, the white ones and the black ones, the white voting poll in Natal to show that he was not afraid. That there was no need to be afraid now that the racial barriers have been officially destroyed.
